SANCTIFICATION OF THE SAINT There is a peace that Jesus gives to us, it comes to certain believers who trusted Christ, and who are resting in Him. Believers who are trying to do the will of God. I wish I could say that I experience this peace all the time. I recognize that it is available for every believer today. I am like most believers in that I have my up and down days and experiences.

There are times when the peace of God floods my soul, and it is wonderful. But there are times when I am under pressure, and the flesh take over. Some times I will experience the peace that passes all understanding, we will have that peace all the time in the kingdom of Heaven.

But how to I get access to this peace. " By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God " ( Rom, 5:02 ) I have access to this peace in prayer and hope, it's wonderful to have someone to go and talk to about yourself, and about your problems, about your friends and love ones. The peace will only be given to believers who put there trust and hope in heaven, and let the will of God be done in there lives.

You are praying for God's will to be done in your prayers, not what you want to be done. A child of God can pray in times of troubles, and the hope of eternal life in heaven. An atheist has nothing in the world to hold on to, no peace or hope. Deliverance from the wrath of God " Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him " ( Rom 5:09) Through the peace that Jesus give us, and the hope of the kingdom of heaven in our hearts. When a day of trouble and distress comes, the days of drakness and gloominess. We have the peace that passes all understanding deep in our hearts.

The people in darkness have nother but the wrath of God, many days of trouble and distress, because they have no hope or faith in anything but this evil world. Why can't I have this peace all the time. You and I are sinners, because we commit acts of sin. We are sinners by nature ( sin doesn't make us sinners, but we sin because we have that nature. ) God has declared the entire human family under sin, that is why we also have troubles in our life. But we will triumph in troubles, because Jesus has given us the peace of God. " And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience: And patience, experience, hope. ( Roman 5:03-04 ) In other words, we have joy in troubles, knowing that troubles works patience, and hope. All three words, Joy, Hope and Patience, is from the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is what makes the new man, the new creation, the new body with a new purpose. ( Sanctification of the Saint )

We have seen the salvation of the sinner: now we are coming to the Sanctification of the Saint. In salvation a lost sinner is now declare righteous, but his heart has not been changed. God provides a way that a sinner may grow in grace and become sanctified or ( set apart ) for God. In Romans chapter 7, Paul writes, " I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but in the flesh the law of sin.

" Don't forget , The fruit of the Holy Spirit is what makes the new man, the new creation, the new body with a new purpose. Now in chapter 8 of Romans, we see the Holy Spirit and real sanctification. God the Father in creation ( Rom 1:01 - 3:20 God the Son in salvation ( Rom 3::21 - 7:25 ) God the Holy Spirit ( Rom 8:01 - 39 ) In Romans chapter 8 we see the Holy Spirit, helping us with a life pleasing to God. But it must be lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. ( Eph 5:18 ) " And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess: but be filled with the Spirit. " What sort of fruit does the Holy Spirit produce in the mind and heart of a believer? Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control"

This is where the peace of God comes from, but not if you walk after the mind of your flesh. " There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. " Rom. 8:01. This is a struggle, but let the Holy Spirit do the fighting. All we need to do, is prayer and keep our mind on the the fruit of the Spirit. Romans 8:05 " For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. " If you live habitually on the flesh and obey the things of the flesh, and the new nature doesn't rebuke you, you must not have a new nature.

Because they that are after the Spirit ( Mind ) the things ( fruits ) of the Spirit. We have been given a new nature. But this is a act of your will, the new struggle that should always be on our mind and hearts. " That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. " John 3:06 It is the Holy Spirit striving against the old man, the believer striving for mastery over sin in the body. " For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritual minded if life and peace. " The peace that only the mind of Christ, can give us.
